Hi recruiter!
Create custom message templates to keep all your communication organized and efficient.
Step by step on how to create a message template below! ⬇️
- Go to "Settings" → "Messages (Templates)"
- Click on the "+" icon in the lower right corner of your screen
- Give your model a name and write your message
- Don't forget to use our dynamic tags for customization
- Now, just save!
See this example below:
IMPORTANT: The use of dynamic tags is context dependent. For example, the $USER tag only exists in automations for sending a message to hiring managers. If you’re using this tag and a sending a message to a candidate, it will not work correctly.
Now you can use these templates anywhere within the platform that requires communication with your candidates:
- Direct messages to candidates
- Campaigns for candidates within a position
- Campaigns for candidates directly from your database or in collections
- And even in your Kanban automations!!
Below are all the dynamic tags that can be used in templates and where they work:
$NAME: represents the candidate's name. It works in any context.
$POSITION: represents the job title. It works in any context. Important: in campaigns, it only works if a specific position is selected.
$CODE: represents the position code. It works in any context. Important: in campaigns, it only works if a specific position is selected.
$USER: represents a username from someone in your hiring team. It only works when sending a message to the hiring team.
$LINK: represents the link to the position (deep link). It only works in messages to the candidate (stand-alone message, campaign or automation). Important: in campaigns, it only works if a specific position is selected.
$APPLICATION: represents the link to the application. It works only automations to the hiring team.
$PHASE: represents the name of the phase where the candidate is in the hiring process. It works only in single messages to the candidate, in automations to the hiring team or in external e-mail automations.
After creating your templates, select the desired option when sending a message. First click on the "Template" field:
And then just select the desired model:
